Away in a manger

SmallerBean has been practising for her little pre-school 'concert'.

'Away in a manger
Ungrateful for a bed...'

She won't be told.

  1. Makes me think of our beloved alternative words for the refrain of The Angel Gabriel (from heaven came). The line is 'most highly favoured lady glo-or-or-ria' but we always sing 'most highly flavoured gravy glo-or-or-ria'. It puts us in mind of Christmas lunch you know.

Thank you for spelling practising correctly. You can have a gold star to put on top of your Christmas tree :o)

  2. "The little lord Jesus lay down on his head" - Tiny Small is convinced that's how the next line goes!

  3. Aww bless - hope someone catches that on video ;)

  4. Awww! Hope the chicken pox is all gone now too! :) x

  5. thats brilliant! So counter to the general message of the song! I love misheard lyrics. Mine was Lord of the Dance when I was her age. 'And I'll leave you all at the Dance, said he' I was most upset by that uncharitable act. I also would not be told. Took me some time to believe my parents that he was leading the dance!
